Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing our organization's servers, networks, and systems infrastructure. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of all systems and provide technical support to staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and server hardware.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Manage internal IT infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and cloud services.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and system recovery procedures.
- Apply security best practices, updates, and patches to all systems.
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Support software deployments, updates, and integrations.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments for smooth IT operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of system security, hardware, networking, and backup solutions.
- Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file sharing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
